"This file does not have a program associated with it..."
Every .exe file that I double click on gives me the prompt in the title. I fear my registry is infected by a virus but I can't open an anti virus program to scan my computer. Can anyone help me?1 person needs an answerI do too

Every .exe file that I double click on gives me the prompt in the title. I fear my registry is infected by a virus but I can't open an anti virus program to scan my computer. Can anyone help me? If you are using windows XP then please perform following steps. 1 Open you’re My Computer from the desktop. 2 Click on the tool option 3 After that Select Folder option. 4 Click on Files type 5 Select your Drive and click on the New Button. 6 You have a box in that box select on Advanced tab. 7 Please put .exe in the File Extension. 8 You have found a pop box choose on them as “Application”. 9 Click on Ok. If you want to fix the problem with certainty do this:Go to this WWW site by Doug Knox:http://www.dougknox.com/On the left, click the Win XP Fixes, File Association Fixes and read the directions atthe top of the page.Download the EXE File Association Fix and apply it, then reboot.Then relieve your system of malicious software:Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if desired.
